Brass Pot with Lemons
Much to the chagrin of his teachers at school, Derick used to love pencil sketching. This love started at an early age, but it was only in 1994 that a friend, Brian MaCaskill gave him some oil paints and brushes to play with. He was hooked! He fell in love with the colors and consistency of oil paints and the brass pot shown here was his second oil painting. (Completed in 1994.)
